YOU CAN OVERCOME

I had major Self Image and Self Esteem issues for many, many years. Most of my life I felt so "less than," never measuring up, as I compared myself to others.

Maybe you can relate. We all dislike or even hate something about ourselves, but what we choose to fixate on, obsess over, or let go, determines our Self Image.
I now fervently choose to fixate on my True Identity, and to let go of the negative things that I personally think about myself.

But that wasn't always the case. I obsessed over a lot of things about myself.
The pain inside overwhelmed me. I began cutting, because the physical pain distracted me from the emotional pain.

I still have the propensity to obsess over things, but I choose to let them go. The biggest contributing factor to healing my Self Image, which then produced a healthy Self Esteem, was to replace my self given Identity with my IDENTITY IN CHRIST.

You see, our IDENTITY IN CHRIST should be the ONLY Identity that matters. That is a good thing to fixate on. So I do, with fervor.

Sure, I still see wrinkles and grey hairs, and numerous imperfections, which could cause a downward spiral into Depression and Anxiety.....
But, I stopped fixating on my shortcomings a long time ago, and now rely on my Identity in Christ to keep me focused.
Let me tell you, coming from someone who was a total dysfunctional mess, that was the best thing I've ever done for myself, and I wish someone had told me about it and helped me walk in my true Identity a long time ago!

So, I could be paralyzed by social anxiety and in the depths of despair, over what I see in the mirror, over words spoken to me, over what others think of me, BUT I told myself a long time ago, NONE OF THAT MATTERS.

The ONLY opinion that matters is God's.
I am who He says I am.
I stand up- confident, hopeful, strong and encouraged, knowing who I really am now.
I don't hide in the back of a room, hoping no one will notice me, or isolated in my home, or on the verge of a mental breakdown, or in the middle of a panic attack when in public anymore.
I am a Child of God. He says who I am. I am clothed with Strength and Dignity. I am Beloved, Adored, Cherished, Holy, Righteous, Sanctified.......BEAUTIFUL.
It's all because I am a new creation in Christ.
The old Sayra died to Self. The new Sayra was reborn in her authentic, True Identity.

That process took some time. I was broken and full of despair. But you see, Broken is a good thing- it's a good place to be.
God takes us when we're broken, when we've been pounded by life into dust, and when we surrender, then He lovingly shapes us into who we were always meant to be. Then He breathes His breath of Life into us, and we truly come alive.

I so deeply desire to help you come alive in your True Identity!

Dear one, you are probably here because you're very broken. I'm here to tell you, that's a good place to be.
God wants to reshape you, reshape your Identity, and breathe Life into the real, authentic you, so that you can come alive and live in your real Identity- your Identity in Christ.

You may have lost yourself after years of abuse. You may have lost yourself after an illness or injury or major life change, and have nothing to fall back on, and now feel so lost and hopeless. You may have never even know who you really are. You probably ask- "Who am I," and have no answer or it's nothing good to say.

BUT, you can find your real, true Identity.
You can Overcome every Self Esteem issue, every negative thought, obsessive patterns, self harm, Depression and Anxiety caused by *your* Self Identity.

Dear one, I'm here to help you. You will stand tall, confident, strong, hopeful, encouraged, and see your beauty. Let me help you see your True Identity, your Identity in Christ. You will be changed forever.

Along the way, we'll work together to help you find your Self Worth again, find Purpose and Joy, get Stable, get Connected to others, feel Safe, Trust again, and you'll truly be that new Creation in Christ.
