YOU CAN OVERCOME

If you are a Survivor of Sexual Abuse/ Molestation/ Rape, I want to say to you, Dear One, it was not your fault, and you are not alone in your Healing journey.

Many of us Survivors carry Shame and Guilt for years, if not most our lives, after the abuse. Shame and Guilt keep us silent, afraid to tell somebody our story, our trauma and tragedy. The first thing our Abuser did was take away our voice. We were not heard when we said, “No,” or “Stop.” Then our voices were further silenced, to not tell somebody what happened, by either threats from the Abuser or our own Shame and Guilt.

Dear One, it's time to break the bonds of being silenced. Whatever has happened to you to keep your voice silenced all this time, you can Overcome that. I’m here to help you reclaim what was lost, starting with your voice.

You have a God given right to a voice and a legal right to a voice. Maybe you've never told anyone what happened to you. Maybe you did tell somebody and you were dismissed or not even believed. I’ve not been believed too, but I believe you. I support you. I always will.

Once you finally tell your story, you will find a lot of Freedom and Healing just in that, but that's just the start of your journey. Much was lost- your voice, your innocence, your happiness, your freedom, yourself.

Maybe you can remember before the abuse happened. Maybe you remember the little, happy child you were, that smiled and played with joy and innocence, but maybe you don’t, because the abuse started at such a young age, and there are no happy memories. Maybe you had a stable, “normal" life until a boyfriend or a stranger violated you in adulthood. Whatever your unique story is, the answer is the same for your Healing- Jesus.

I don’t know who your Abuser was, but I do know who your Healer is. Let me introduce you to a loving Father and His Son, named Jesus. It may be hard for you to accept help and Healing from a male figure, especially if you were violated by a male, and if you are angry at God, for allowing it to happen.

I understand, and I'm not going to force you to go any place that you're not ready to go to yet. But let me just say that for me, medication and years of therapy never Healed me. It never set me Free. It never Delivered me, only Jesus did.

Jesus restored me in a way that no one and nothing else could. He can do that for you too. I was restored and Healed and set free of shame, guilt, sorrow, depression, and dysfunction. He restored me into the woman I was always meant to be. He brought me out of darkness and into light. He brought me out of death and despair and into life. I now know what “normal” is. I now know what Healed and set Free looks like. He can do that for you too. He can restore you like He did me, like the trauma never happened, and leave you in better condition than you've ever been in.

Won’t you give Jesus a chance? Won’t you give Healing and Freedom a chance?

I'm here for you! I'm your guide on your Healing journey. I care deeply about your Healing. There are many things we can do in this process to work towards your Healing, but Total Healing and Total Freedom is possible only through Jesus.
